Venus de la Concha o Venus Púdica.La escultura original en mármol blanco fue realizada hacia el año 135 d.C. y se conserva en el Museo del Prado de Madrid. Procede de las ruinas romanas de Sagunto y fue restaurada durante el Renacimiento por un personaje llamado B. Rovira (la inscripción de su nombre figura junto a la fecha de 1533), quien esculpió una concha encima del pubis y la inscripción Obra de Praxíteles".Shell Venus or Chaste Venus.The original white marble sculpture was made around the year 135 A.D. and belongs to the Prado Museum (Madrid). It comes from the Roman ruins of Sagunto and was restored during the Renaissance by an individual called B. Rovira (the inscription of his name figure by the date of 1533), who sculpted a shell on the pubis and the inscription "Praxiteles's work".
